Really cool green things

Sometimes I get that super sad panda feeling. Strife and conflict bother me and people vie for who has the right opinion, blah blah blah. Its all talk and its all depressing, but there are things that aren't! So I'll focus on that here. When I get this way I go to TED and I listen. Here are 3 videos about green products that can totally change the world. The implications if these things were applied properly are crazy. All the videos are under 10 minutes and if you only want to watch one I suggest the first.

  1. This video is about mushrooms, and using them to replace Styrofoam. http://www.ted.com/talks/eben_bayer_are_mushrooms_the_new_plastic.html http://www.ecovativedesign.com/  100% recyclable. Badass.
  2. This video is about green drywall. http://www.ted.com/talks/kevin_surace_fixing_drywall_to_heal_the_planet.html
  3. This last video is about electrical outlets, saving energy and making them (the outlets and plugs) smarter. Fun! http://www.ted.com/talks/john_la_grou_plugs_smart_power_outlets_1.html
http://www.seriousenergy.com/ Interesting website focused on green development in buildings.
