More fun times in Laos!

After Vang Vieng we went to Luang Prabang to get our Vietnamese visas. The city was pretty nice. We visited a super awesome waterfall (kuansi falls) with a rope swing and everything. There was also a bear rescue center at the waterfall for some reason, but hey I say "cool! Where else does a Claire-bear belong?!!" (Sorry no pics of the falls or the bears here!)

After Luang Prabang we went to Phonsavan and learned a lot of interesting things about the country. Did you know that Laos is theist bombed country in the world? I had no idea! It still effects their lives today. We watched some documentaries and donated some money to a group called MAG (mines advisory group) who do a lot of work demining the areas most heavily effecting the country. Below is the place we stayed and some fried river plant we tried at a local restaurant. Yumz!
